1. The width of the passage (referring to the width that allows pedestrians to pass) is relatively small, generally about 500mm.

3. Restricted by the shape of the tripods, it is not suitable for pedestrian with luggage to pass through.
4. The plasticity of the appearance is not strong, most of the styles are not elegant enough.
5. The tripods of both mechanical and semi automatic tripod turnstiles will have mechanical collisions during operation, and the noise is relatively large. Full automatic tripod turnstiles do not have this problem.
Applications
It is suitable for ordinary pedestrians and occasions where the flow of people is not very large or the pedestrians are not very caring when using them, as well as some outdoor occasions where the environment is relatively harsh.
Access control turnstile gate - Flap barrier gate series
Flap barrier gate are generally called scissor gate in the rail transit industry. They are also called speed gate in many places abroad. The blocker (flap) is generally a fan-shaped flat, which is perpendicular to the ground and achieves blocking and release through expansion and contraction. The material of the flap is usually plexiglass, tempered glass and some also use a metal plate out of a special flexible material (reduce damage to impact pedestrians).
The machine core control mode is only full automatic type. The form is also bridge type only and the pedestrian detection module has a strong function. It is suitable for one-way or two-way control of the flow of people and has the characteristics of fast passing speed, quick opening, safety and convenience. Advantage
1. The passing speed is the fastest among all turnstiles types.
2. The pass width is between tripod turnstile and swing gate, generally between 550mm-900mm.
3. The appearance is much more elegant and the material of the flap is more abundant.
4. In emergency, the flaps will be quickly retracted into the housing, which can easily form a barrier-free lane, increase the passing speed and make it easier for pedestrians to evacuate.
Shortcoming
1. The control method is more complicated and the cost is higher.
2. Insufficient waterproof and dustproof capability.
3. The appearance is relatively simple and the plasticity is not strong.
4. Restricted by the shape of blocker, the impact resistance of flap barrier gate is lower than that of tripod turnstile and the flaps and machine core of the gate are easily damaged by pedestrians crossing the gate illegally.
5. The technical requirements for manufacturers are relatively high. If the design is not good, it will greatly reduce the reliability of the product and the anti-pinch ability to avoid personal injury.
Applications
It is suitable for indoor occasions with heavy traffic, such as ticket gates of subways and railway stations. It’s also used for occasions that require elegant design.
Access control turnstile gate - Swing gate series
Swing gate is the most malleable gate equipment of all turnstiles. The material of wings and pass width of lanes can be customized. It is suitable for one-way or two-way control of the flow of pedestrians and vehicles (electric vehicles, tricycles). The most commonly used occasion is office buildings which allows pedestrians, people with luggage and disabled people to pass. Considering that the swing gate can achieve wider passage characteristics than the flap barrier gate, most of the swing gate passages can be mixed with pedestrians, bicycles, mopeds, handicapped vehicles and other non-motorized vehicles.
From the control method of machine core, it is divided into mechanical type and full automatic type. In terms of form, it is divided into vertical type, bridge type and cylindrical type. The pass width range is the largest of all turnstiles, generally between 550mm to 1000mm and some models customized for high end market can be 1500mm, which is more suitable for pedestrians or bicycles carrying luggage and parcels, and can also be used as a special passage for people with limited mobility.
2. Compared with tripod turnstile, swing gate has a pedestrian pass detection module, which can effectively detect passing targets and has a stronger anti-tailing ability.
3. The plasticity of the appearance is the strongest among all turnstiles. The material of barrier body is abundant and the shape of the housing is also diversified. It is easy to design a very beautiful shape. So it is commonly used in high-end occasions,, such as office buildings, intelligent buildings, clubs and etc.
4. There is no mechanical collision during the operation process of the swing barriers and the noise is relatively small.
Shortcoming
1. The cost is high, especially for some specially customized models, such as increasing the pass width and using special materials for the swing barriers, the technical difficulty will increase correspondingly.
2. Some models have insufficient waterproof and dustproof capabilities, they are only suitable for indoor use and their environmental adaptability is not as strong as a tripod turnstile.
3. Restricted by the shape of the blocking body, the impact resistance of swing gate is lower than tripod turnstile, the barrier panels and machine core of swing gate can be easily damaged when pedestrians pass illegally and quickly.
4. It will greatly reduce the reliability of the product and reduce the ability to prevent personal injury from pinching and collision if the manufacturer's design is not good.
Applications

Access control turnstile gate - Full height turnstile series
Full height turnstile is also called full-height turnstile, which is developed from revolving door and refer to turnstile (the biggest difference is that the blocking body is not a tempered glass door, but a metal fence). According to the height of the blocking body, it can be divided into full height turnstile (also called full-height turnstile) and waist height turnstile (also called half height turnstile), full height turnstile is more widely used.
The blocking body (barriers) generally consists of 3 or 4 metal rods that are parallel to the horizontal plane in the shape of a "Y" (also called a three-bar switch) or a "ten" shape (also called a cross turnstile or a cross turnstile gate).

Half height turnstiles are suitable for occasions that require high traffic order, such as stadiums, prisons, exhibition halls, stations, and communities.
Access control turnstile gate - Sliding gate series
The sliding gate is also known as sliding turnstile, also known as full height flap barrier gate. It is a special mechanical device for controlling the access rights of personnel. It can be also used with other types of pedestrian gates. It has a wide range of applications, high end styles, more stable performance, lower noise, fast running speed and anti-climbing functions. But the price is high enough, it is very popular in high end places. Such as group office buildings, with precise logic sensors which can really achieve one gate for per person with one card.
The movement control mode is only fully automatic. The form is also bridge type only and the pedestrian detection module has a strong function.

3. The passing speed is faster, similar to flap barrier gate.
