After all, the turnstile is not a 5nm lithography machine, which requires a lot of high-tech technology. There is no belittling or exclusion of those assembly companies here, because this is a common phenomenon. No company can survive with the entire industrial chain layout. In the era of globalization, everything cannot be done by one company. But if you can find the most upstream as much as possible when purchasing turnstiles, you will get a lot of benefits and convenience.
First of all, let’s trace the source as much as possible. The factory from which production link is the so-called “original manufacturer” as possible. When encountering problems such as urgent, temporary changes, semi-finished products for inspection, confirmation of non-standard details, including rapid after-sales cooperation, maintenance, and overall cost control, etc., the above, There will be no major problems, at least there will be no problems that cannot be solved by spending money.
In 2016, we met a customer and told about his personal experience. Now we are friends. My friend was inexperienced at the time, so he chose a turnstile factory at random, but he did not have his own sheet metal processing. He received a project for an office building. After the installation was completed, due to the technical problems of the sheet metal shell of the turnstile, the acceptance failed. It was also his bad luck. During the acceptance, the boss of his client just returned to the company and walked to the turnstile. Next to it, I touched it and felt a little rough. Then I took a closer look and immediately played the boss’ temper, “What kind of rubbish is this? After spending so much money, you just bought such a turnstile?” When something happens, it’s okay to give some cigarettes to the relevant acceptance personnel and eat a meal. As a result, the boss gets angry, and the staff can only do business, and even the standards are even stricter. My friend asked his turnstile supplier to handle it, and the turnstile supplier went to his supplier again. After a long time of arguing, they said they would send someone to handle it on the spot, but after waiting for almost a day, there was no one. They said that the master of the sheet metal factory was busy. They are unwilling to go. The turnstile supplier had a good attitude. When they arrived at the scene, but because they were not professional in sheet metal, they had nothing to do with the finished product and could not solve the problem. Later, I sent a car directly to the sheet metal factory to ask for a master, and made the parts separately again, and then there was a matching problem. During this period, it also involved the problem that they had not settled the payment for a long time, and it was repeated several times. It’s still not enough, let’s build a new one as a whole, not to mention the delay in the construction period, and waste the construction cost. Dilemma, a dilemma. In the end, it took almost two years for a small project of one month to collect the payment. Clients are also easy to be lost.
The above scenario is a typical cooperation problem between a supplier and his suppliers. The longer the cooperation time, the more “stories” there may be between them, and the more likely you will become an innocent person unknowingly.
Second, the original turnstile manufacturer should have its own design team of electronic control and machine core.
As the core components of the turnstile, the control board and machine core are obviously unreasonable if a turnstile factory cannot master its core functions. However, since the parts of the machine core are all machined parts or mold components. It is not necessary to purchase the corresponding equipment by yourself, and it is not necessary to make the PCB board, so it is not necessary to install a placement machine or the like. After all, although the two are the core of the turnstile, at the level of processing and manufacturing, no matter how large the turnstile application is, it is insignificant before the corresponding machining equipment and PCB board processing equipment.
With the ability to design the machine core, you can have the ability to manufacture large non-standard products and you can continuously upgrade the durability. Only with the electronic control design capability can we provide the rich functions of the turnstiles and continuously improve the infrared logic. If these two core parts are controlled by others, they will not be strong, longer in any case. I don’t think you want your supplier to supply you today, but you can’t contact them tomorrow, or even change to do other business.
Third, the product line is relatively single.
It means that this factory does not do anything complicated, except for the turnstiles, other things are rarely involved, or not involved at all. It is possible to share production and processing equipment. After all, as a manufacturing industry, the more types of products, the more complex the production line, the higher the management cost, or the less professional it is. Of course, a pure assembly plant can be slightly more complicated, as long as the inspection principle is the same, it is fine, but it should not be too complicated.

As long as you do it yourself, it’s not good to have too many product lines. After all, the manufacturing industry still needs some craftsmanship. Do it all, and the comprehensive ability is very strong at the beginning. Other industries may be ok, but in the manufacturing industry, every product will be like a superficial product, broad but not refined, and it is difficult to become a master.
Fourth, other aspects: such as scale, research and development strength, length of engagement, professional quality of business personnel, etc.

Someone says that if you look at Apple, its core product mobile phones are all OEM, and many well-known car companies were also assembled in the early years, which does not mean that they are very successful companies. Aren’t they factories? Yes, I do not deny this. As I said at the beginning of the article, there are many assembly companies in China. I did not say that they are useless. On the contrary, from a commercial point of view, asset-light operation is still a good business mode. Just from the customer’s standpoint as far as possible from the “affordable” point of view, say some suggestions. The right one is actually the best, as long as the supplier can solve your core problems (what you are most concerning currently), it is still a good supplier. After all, not everyone who eats an egg needs to know the hen who laid the egg. The suitable is the best.
